2018 Goals and Intentions

Goals are more specific than intentions that you can actual measure. I personally like to set my intentions for the new year separately from the goals. A good rule to follow is to limit your goals and intentions to max of 10. That way, you can have more focus on what is important.

Good luck and Happy New Year!!

Intentions:
1. Read more
2. Speak less, listen more
3. Experience something new every week
4.Stress less
5.Laugh more

Goals:
1. Increase clientele by more maintenance clients
2. See 18 to 25 paying clients per week
3.Travel with Vanessa 4 times per month
4. Meditate daily
5. Volunteer 1 x per week

Goals (Vision) for 2017

Mission Statement:

To increase awareness of the self-healing abilities that Body Stress Release (BSR) creates for optimal health.

 Technical Part:

Body Stress Release (BSR) is a unique neuro-muscular releasing technique that influences the muscles surrounding the spine to relax and release for pain reduction and improved self-healing. Pain and inflammation are reduced by the re-communication of the nervous system.

Steps to Achieve the above Goal:

  1. Take my practice Mobile – With a large van that I can practice out of and travel around the island. This will improve my overall exposure and create my own driving Billboard for BSR.
  2. Create a documentary – Mainly interviewing clients and my own personal story of self-healing and self-care.
  3. Posting more to FB and Instagram again creating awareness for BSR.
  4. Updating website with self-care information and videos.
  5. Create a GoFundMe Page to accomplish these goals raising $20,000. (Check out link below to donate)

Essentials for Optimal Health

As you may or may not know about me, I have been in the fitness and wellness industry since I was a teenager. Health and fitness has always fascinated me and I am compelled to learn more every day. Studying the human body is a never ending task. You really cannot be an “Expert” because there is always more to learn. Over the past 7 years of my BSR practice, I have learned so much working with great colleagues such as Dr. Deborah Ardolf, ND, and heading back to school for more anatomy and physiology.

I wanted to share with you what I believe are the essentials for optimal health. If you have balance with the 3 essentials that are listed below, you will find yourself in good harmony.

3 Essentials for Optimal Health

1. Good Nutrition -“Let food be thy medicine” quote from Hippocrates. The foundation of Naturopathic Medicine. Start by eating less processed foods, more organic fruits and vegetables, some healthy grains and usually smaller quantities of meat proteins that are raised more organically. This is a “no brainer”. If you are eating fast food and mostly processed crap, you are going to feel like crap. Scale back on these food choices and make small changes that will add up over time. As you know, I am a big fan of the blood type diet.. Check it out online.

2. Exercise – Any movement that you enjoy. It can be anything from hiking, walking, biking, yoga, swimming, what ever it is, be consistent.

Start off simply by walking your dog if you are not doing that now. Everyone needs to move, just enjoy it!!

3. Preventative Care – This can be anything from massage therapy, of course Body Stress Release, Naturopathic Care, Acupunture, or a combination of treatments that can release stress and improve your self-healing abilities. It is always better to prevent then wait for a crisis right? You don’t wait until your engine light goes on to change your oil? Why wait until your body starts breaking down before you seek treatment? My clients that come and see me monthly have the best results because they do not let the stresses of life build back up to create problems.

Keep it simple is the best policy, and create a balance with the above three. Don’t over do it with any of them, this could lead to other issues like joint or muscle injuries, excessive dieting or too many wellness appointments draining your wallet. If you can create a balance and be consistent, your overall mental state will also be optimal.

Here’s to your Health!

RIP Ewald Erich Meggersee 21 September 1944 – 7 December 2013

Last month the world truly lost another great treasure. The Co-creator of Body Stress Release transitioned unexpectedly. It interesting that he passed just days after Nelson Mandela. They were two amazing South Africans who influenced many people. Of course, both will be greatly missed, but remembered and honored forever.

I will miss Ewald greatly, but know that he is always with me in spirit and with Body Stress Release. I truly feel that I was given a gift and I am extremely grateful that I was able to learn this amazing program in 2006. I love practicing BSR because it brings joy and happiness to everyone and the world always needs more joy!

Loving Thoughts to all,
